| Description of service(s) | The New Brunswick Medical Society (NBMS) is the professional association for all physicians in New Brunswick. It is a provincial division of the Canadian Medical Association (CMA). The professional interests of the Society’s members include the advancement of medical science; health promotion and the improvement of medical services; the prevention of disease; and physician work-related issues. Members of the NBMS must be registered with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of New Brunswick. The College has the primary responsibility for the licensing of New Brunswick physicians, monitoring physician practices and investigating when a patient files a complaint against a physician. | |||

| Application | Physicians who will be practicing in New Brunswick should register first with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of New Brunswick <http://www.cpsnb.org/>. The College will automatically advise the New Brunswick Medical Society of new registrants and the Society will, in turn, mail out a membership enrollment package. | |||
