Description of service(s) | WorkSafeNB is a Crown corporation charged with overseeing the implementation and application of New Brunswick's Occupational Health and Safety Act; Workers' Compensation Act; Workplace Health, Safety and Compensation Commission and Workers' Compensation Appeals Tribunal Act; and, the Firefighters' Compensation Act. Our focus areas are accident prevention and supporting injured workers in getting back to work. WorkSafeNB has provided rehabilitative services to injured workers since 1965. We ensure the highest standards in our programs, respecting current medical practices and research, and we continue to add and improve services to meet the needs of our injured workers. These services include: Work hardening Stalled return-to-work program Opioid reduction program Multi-disciplinary consults Mild traumatic brain injury treatment Complex regional pain syndrome treatment Cumulative trauma disorders program Traumatic psychological injuries treatment Amputee rehabilitation Motivational enhancement training Work conditioning Nutritional counselling Psychological assistance Mobility assessments and maintenance Education services (value of exercise, safe lifting techniques, stress management) Work capacity evaluations Jobsite analyses Jobsite evaluations Ergonomic evaluations Risk factor analyses Psychometric tests Prosthetic/orthotic services are offered at the centre by a third party. |
