Description & Services
Description of service(s) NBASSE is an association of member agencies providing activity-based day services and employment supports to persons with intellectual disabilities. All member agencies provide these services following the “ADAPT” standards outlined by the Provincial department of Social Development.

Catena Jobs Plus is a non profit organization that provides day programs on both a full and part-time basis for adults with intellectual and/or physical disabilities .

Our center offers work skill training, daily life skill training as well as daily valued activity programs.

Over the past three years we have been involved in a pilot project which has been designed and implemented to assist our clients in going out to work and being paid at least a regular hourly wage.

We have also implemented a program where we assist clients 3 to 4 times a week out in the community to volunteer at various locations.

We also have a day program for seniors. Catena Forever Friends. Designed for our clients as they get ready for retirement , but open to any person nearing 65 years young. This program runs the same hours as the Catena

In addition to government grants we generate extra funding through our mail business in which clients collate, stuff, label and sort mail for several local businesses.

We operate a used clothing shop, where clients wash, dry and sort clothing that is sold for affordable prices.

We cut and sell bags of rags (1.5 or 25lb bags).

In May of 2010 the Center purchased Personal Touch Embroidery. The clients assist in this area with assisting customers, clipping threads, packaging orders, etc..

Accepts donations of used small household goods, as well as clothing for re-sale by the centre.
