Description & Services
Description of service(s) CARP's mandate is to effectively promote the rights and quality of life of mature Canadians. Anyone age 50 and over is welcome to join, whether they are retired or not. CARP acts as an advocacy group on behalf of its members by monitoring and commenting on government legislation etc, which would affect its members. As well, it publishes a magazine called Zoomers 9 times a year, which is mailed to members, and provides a forum for the exchange of opinions and information in the hopes of achieving a better understanding of the maturing process and its implication for our society in general.

As a practical benefit, CARP offers it members a discount card available upon membership, which entitles members to discounts on many products and services, such as health care, travel, home and car insurance, car rentals, etc.
