Description & Services
Description of service(s) To assist low-income families to cope with high energy costs, the government of New Brunswick has committed to extend the Home Energy Assistance Program over the next 5 years. For 2014, the program provides a benefit of $100 to families whose total income for 2012 was $28,000 or less.  
 
To be eligible, applicants must: 
• You must have filed a New Brunswick personal income tax return in 2012.  
• In 2012 your total family income must have been $28,000 or less.  
• You must be a New Brunswick resident.  
• Maintain a principle place of residence that is a self-contained domestic establishment  
 
Application forms for the 2014 benefit under the Home Energy Assistance Program will be available on January 3, 2014 at Service New Brunswick centres and online at www.snb.ca or at www.gnb.ca/Finance, closing date is June 30, 2014.
