Description of service(s) | The Centre for Research on Youth at Risk focuses on applied research related to youth justice and young people who are disengaged from communities. The Centre is the Eastern Hub of the Students Commission of Canada/ Centre of Excellence on Youth Engagement. Youth Matters, is a group of young people composed of high school, college and university students who develop and implement conferences, workshops and meetings to ensure the voice of youth is heard in decisions that affect them. A chapter of Youth Matters operates in the closed custody facility for young persons in conflict with the law in Miramichi and these youth join other Youth Matters members upon their release in the community. |
