Description of service(s) SwimAbility Saint John is a non-profit organization that provides one-on-one swimming instruction for children with intellectual disabilities, aged 2-18. SwimAbility Saint John is a chapter of SwimAbility Canada which has chapter like ours across the country. We are a student run organization and have volunteers from both Dalhousie Medicine New Brunswick and UNB Saint John.  
 
Our mission is to help children develop basic swimming skills and water safety knowledge, as well as increase their comfort level in water environments. Sessions will be monitored by a certified lifeguard and swimming skills and play are facilaited by our volutneers on a one-to-one basis.  
 
The goal of SwimAbility simply, is that everyone should be able to swim and have fun!
