Description & Services
Description of service(s) We offer service focused on prevention, rather than treatment of ill-health. We offer contraception counselling, and a variety of contraceptions, so you can choose the one that is right for you. We offer access to safe abortions, that are timely, and follow best practice guidelines. We also offer after-hours access to fit with your schedule. Our hours are 11am-7pm, with room for same day appointments.
We are excited to also be accepting new patients from the following underserved groups. We provide assessments, ongoing care and consultations for transgender, gender variant, and gender non-conforming children, youth and adults, including hormone initiations and injections. We offer testing and treatment for communicable diseases such as HIV, STIs and Hep C. We will also offer an array of specialized reproductive health services, including contraceptive counselling, IUD insertion and removal, endometrial biopsies, and pregnancy management options including emergency IUD insertions and abortions. Finally, we are excited to offer primary care services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, two-spirited, transgender, and queer patients currently without physicians. If Clinic 554 sounds like a good fit for you, please call our receptionist and book an appointment.

We will only be accepting new patients from these aforementioned groups at this time. If you need a doctor, but are not eligible for services at Clinic 554, you may call Tele-Care at 811 and apply for the provincial patient registry.
Clinic 554 is a family practice devoted to patient-driven healthcare. We aim to further the experiences of health and wellbeing of our patients through principles of respect, inclusiveness, and evidence-based best practices. We strive to include the voices of community groups to promote equity and advocacy, and to create a space that contributes to patient empowerment.

At Clinic 554, we believe healthcare is a patient-driven process centred upon caring, safety, and respect. We believe harm-reduction is an essential approach to healthcare, and that patients have a right to self-affirming services. We are committed to sex-positive, gender-celebratory care, anti-racist and feminist practices, and full-scope reproductive care, including abortions.
